The best size for a Climate Flag is 30 x 30 cm. You are welcome to make the style of the flag your own, but we have trialed a few options and think double-sided, machine sewn flags on cotton or poly-cotton work really well as there’s no bleed through or rough edges. Here’s how you can make a double-sided flag:

1 buying second hand sheet(1)
Buy plain coloured, second-hand sheets

Make a cut at the edge of sheet & rip off the edge  (in case sheet has been sewn crooked). Then make cuts every 30 cm along edge of sheet
3 ripping along snips
Rip sheet into long strips (30 cm wide)
5 measure and snip 62cms(1)
Lay strips into a neat pile (takes two people). Then make small cuts every 60 cm and rip all sheets in one go
7 comleted rectangles
Pile of 30 x 60 cm rectangles
8 iron in half to create squares
Fold in half and press
9 sew a seam up each side
Sew along two sides, leaving the edge opposite the fold open (so you can insert cardboard while writing on the flag)
